my band plays in the C#G#C#F# tuning and my heavy gauge strings are too loose for my high-tension appetite. I want to use the heaviest 4 strings from a 5 string pack (the B E A and D strings) on my 4 string jazz.
so my question is, should i get a new nut so these strings can fit in it or just force them into the old one?
