New Nylon Tape Wound Bad String?

I just bought a pack of D’Addario Nylon tape wounds and after installing I noticed the D string looks like it’s slightly unwound. Does it look defective? Normally wouldn’t mind but these are kinda pricey strings! Thanks y’all!

If I were you, I would contact D'Addario customer service and show them that picture. Doesn't look normal to me.

The good news is D'Addario is always good when it comes to replacing defective strings.

I decided to take them back, shop returned them no issue. Replacement set looks like they should!
