I'm Jason (38) from Mercer County, Pennsylvania. I had previously played bass from 1987 to around 2000, and left it to play guitar. Now, several aeons later, my arms and hands are too beat up to play a 6-banger anymore, so I have returned home to play bass again. I sold off my vintage Peavey tube rig (ouch!) and subsequently had to hand that money over to the true Satan, Xmas. Soooo after these Hellidays are over, I will continue my search for the (previously owned) rig of my dreams. I have traded my guitar for an ESP/LTD F-104. I really didn't want anything other than a P-bass, but truthfully, it was the only trade offered for what I had. So I took it. Decent enough bass, it took me a few days to embrace an active setup, but it's workable. Here's a query for yinz to chew on...what can a guy with no rig and very little extra cash get for a decent rig? I'm looking to spend around $500. Lemme have it!
