New/Old Peavey Basses on the horizon?

Last week I was at a Monday night jam in downtown Nashville, so many talented players. A great hang.

I met this guy that said he was involved with Peavey, several things he said validated that.

He mentioned that Peavey is working on reissuing the T40/T60 instruments. I have no idea if this is true, I also don't want to spread false information.

I'm just hopeful. A lightweight T40 would be cool.

that would be nice . i love the old peavey basses dont understand why they are not more popular . i love mine the necks are awesome. yes the t40's are on the heavier side but b=sound great

"Spin-A-Split"??? Is that what he called the tone control doing double-duty as a coil cutter? Or was he referring to the bi-radial 2-piece neck construction?

That's for the dual action tone control.
The necks are Bi-Cut/Bilaminate construction.

Things like Spin-A-Split and phase switches are 70s cool. I personally repurpose the phase switch to be a master coil split. It's nice to have the full range of the tone control available for either mode.

That sounds like a brilliant mod! The phase switch was a very cool feature on the T-60 guitar...but on the T-40 bass it just functioned like the "Suck" knob on a Gary Larson comic.
