New on forum, hello

New guy on forum from north Mississippi. I have not seriously tried to play any instrument since high school, definitely NOT a musician. I had a couple guitars for the last some-odd years, strictly a 3-chord strummer.

My 12-year old daughter is a drummer in the school band and takes private lessons on drum set, she was the drummer in a kiddie rock band organized by her instructor last spring, and doing the same again this year.

I got myself a bass about two months ago just to try to play something along with her, maybe we will start our own garage band.

I got a Squier FSR ‘70s Vibe, I like it but already having problems with it!

Just doing Fender Play for now, having fun.

Great forum, I have learned a lot just poking around. I am sure I will have some silly questions.

That's a cool thing to do, trying to play with your daughter.
I wish my kids had enough interest in music that I could do the same.

Never hesitate to ask a question, even if you think it's silly.
There's plenty of folk on here are always happy to help.
Of course, you'll likely also get someone condescendingly reply 'use the search function'.
Ignore them.
They're idiots.
