New Orange AD200B Dead On Arrival?

Just a general statement regarding tubes failure. BUT technically, so I'm not held down by gun point, yes there could be other issues. Regardless, a visit to the tech would let you know.

I would! A bad tube can cause damage to the amps components.

OP Take the thing back and get it put right. It's what a warranty is for!

Thanks to everyone for all the really great input. I called Orange, turns out their US office is 5 minutes from my house. Tech at Orange didn't want to guess at why, he didn't care to chance it. He's swapping it for another brand new unit. Picking it up tomorrow (he offered to have me come in today!). Pretty cool guy...bump for Lynn @ Orange USA!

Sounds like outstanding customer service. There is a huge plus to living in close proximity to the brands HQ.

You know not to power up the amp without a speaker first plugged in, right? That will toast things real good.
