Disappointed to hear that, Ive had EBOs before, and never could get a good sound from them. I have a Squier Tele bass with a WRHB now and love the sound (very deep, but not muddy), but its a very heavy bass, so I would be interested in one of these if I can ever find one less than $500.
I definitely has a more articulate top end and grind that isn't present on the original EB's. Imagine a hybrid of a P bass and Gibby mudbucker. Lots of bottom but there is a very P like quality to it...perhaps because of the wood used.
