yep, they're expensive. But I thought that Peavey vb-2 was a low-budget tube amp like their guitar counterparts e.g. Valve king. Only 200€ more and you can get a new Orange.

oops, it seems that Orange prices have gone up. Well compare peavey vb-2 to marshall VBA-400 ( 1070€ from www.soundslive.co.uk ).

Yep, the Marshall is an awesome value IF you order from the UK... in the rest of the EU it's as expensive as an orange...

One of my local shops has had the VB-2 for weeks. I haven't tried it out yet.

I like the layout & specs of it. One thing has me worried though, the extremely cheap knobs! I've never seen such light, crappy pieces of plastic on a professional amp in my life. The push on/pull off with minimal effort & feel scratchy as they are too easily pushed onto the face of the chassis. The knobs make me alittle worried about other hidden components. Or maybe I worry too much.

Anyway, one of these days I'm going to give it a workout at the store. Maybe the only "issue" it has are those horrible knobs!
