new pickups please help wiring!

Hey all! I just bought some new Dimarzios, a Split P and an X2N-B, both 4-wire; I know how I want to wire them up, but I have a few questions about how. Can I have a phase switch between to two halves of the Split p, a phase switch between the two coils of the X2N-B, and a phase switch between the two pickups, and can I do the same with series/parallel switching, one for each pu and one between the two? I want to get a 6-way 4-pole switch for the X2N-B, but can I get the same options, Series-in phase, North single coil, South single coil, Parallel-in phase, Series-out of phase, Parallel-in phase, without it? What would I need to do this? And if you could please help me with a wiring diagram for this with seperate vol/tone and a 3-way toggle switch it would be great. Thanks!

You can't do a reverse phase between the two halves of the Split-P because each half only covers two strings... so all you would do is get two strings out of phase with the X2N-B. You can do series parallel, but DiMarzio says you wont hear much of a difference.

You can wire the two coils of the X2N-B out of phase, but keep in mind this will cause two things... 1) the pickup will sound VERY thin and nasal, with hardly any bottom, and 2) it will no longer be hum canceling. Of course the X2N is so muddy the thinner setting might actually work. ;)

You can wire the Split-P and X2N-B out of phase, but once again that will give you a very thin sound. I've had phase switches on basses and never found them all that useful. Series out of phase is a little more usable, but not much.

Switching to one single coil or the other wont sound that much different.

You only need a 6-position 3-pole switch.

You use the Gibson L6-S wiring. This is for a two pickup guitar, but you can wire the two coils from the X2N-B this way. You want just the 6 position switch part of this schematic. You can replace the .02 cap with a jumper... or leave it in. It gives you a little more bottom end with the two coils out of phase.

The coil that normally goes to ground in the X2N would be the fingerboard pup in the diagram.

You can use the volume and tone from this circuit too. The middle control is for a midrange cut.
