My CIJ Jaguar bass didn't come with one and it was about $150 more than the new Mustang when I bought it.
A good example.

I suppose a Musicians Friend tweed long-scale case for about $75 will have to do. I'll look out for some little sofa/chair pillows to tighten the fit.
Back on page 40-41,..i posted pics of the Rondo Music case i purchased a few months ago...hope that helps with your case buying options.I suppose a Musicians Friend tweed long-scale case for about $75 will have to do. I'll look out for some little sofa/chair pillows to tighten the fit.
The unfortunate thing is that after shipping the Rondo case will cost about the same as the Musician's Gear case.Back on page 40-41,..i posted pics of the Rondo Music case i purchased a few months ago...hope that helps with your case buying options.
This looks so cool. Which one do you play more?Well, I couldn't help it. Now I have two. One with flats and one with rounds.

You can order it from several places. Here's one:
Fender Mustang PJ Bass - Sonic Blue with Rosewood Fingerboard
Odd that it's not on the Fender site anymore though.

Perhaps they're going to discontinue them.
That was my first thought.
Glad I got mine.
They seem to be a popular seller, but I've seen a lot of used ones up for sale too.

...
Just ordered a second one, this time in Torino Red. It will be converted to fretless. Fraternal twins!
This is kind of cool, that's the actual bass Sweetwater is shipping to me. They didn't send me pictures of the Sonic Blue one (probably because I'd been waiting months and they wanted to ship it immediately).
