new practice amp

So this is my first post, im looking for a practice amp. after a year of playing through headphones, a really good sounding stereo, and a really, really awful practice amp i borrowed, i finnally got money for an amp. so i made a list of amps between 200 and 250 which is what i can spend, and i need to narrow it down so i can hunt them down through the city and try them.

id like to know your opinions an these amps, im more intrested in tone and versatility than in power.

What kind of tone are you looking for? Where are you located? Are you only shopping new?

Buy used, so your money goes further. The Ampegs sound good. I have an older Bassman 60 (similar to the Rumble 75) that sounds just great.

BA112 for me, although I'll give props to the Hartke and Peavey.

If you can find any Trace combo, great amp and had my for over 6 years.

I like the sound of my Orange but I think it's 50 watt rating is a little wishful thinking, maybe I'm just going deaf.
