New preamp but no space for a volume pot

I recently bought a DKGlass tone capsule for my Warmoth P bass. It has two tone pots and one volume pot. The Tone capsule has 3 tone controls. My question is do I really need a volume control? Can I just use what the Tone capsule came with? I just don't. really want to alter the Tone capsule wiring.

No problem at all!
I've omitted the volume control on several of my basses out of preference - I VERY rarely use them anyway.

The pic looks like your bass has EMG wiring and pots - which may complicate things.
Also, is your bass a 1 pickup or a 2 pickup bass?

master volume is a convenient way to mute your bass while away from your amp/pedals. I've also needed master volume live several times, when I started playing and then discovered, the bass amp is distorting due to hot signal (those were times I didn't have time for sound check, just plug and go).

if that was my bass, I'd get two of the three EQ pots on a stacked pot and have room for volume.

Hey, thanks for the reply! Yes, they are EMGs. The pick up configuration looks like this.

Face of the instrument, normal control layout.....volume, hi-mid, low-mid. Secure the bass control / pot and place it in the control cavity. I never touch the instrument's bass EQ...I'll address any issues further downstream via peripheral devices, amp EQ, etc. I suspect the REAL low-end definition resides with the Darkglass's 500 hz low-mid. No way I'm surrendering my volume control.

Not a new concept. Preamp designers have been hiding trim pots including gain and mid-freq adjustments on the internal boards for years. I'm puzzled as these are components I'd want readily available / under my fingertips...bass boost / cut not so much. Best example I can think of is the Audere 4 band where the real magic resides with the (2) mid bands.
