I've been working on a geological study in Northern California for the last 5 weeks and just returned home last night. I purchased a PS112 from Dave @ Ultimate Basses in Ontario but had him hold on shipping until Monday of this past week. The cab showed up today and inital impressions are good. It isn't afraid of a B string or a heavy thumb. Methinks it will sound killer once thoroughly used. Anyway, here is the obligatory (and somewhat gratuitous) gear shot.

New PS112 for me

Ditto. I just acquired one from TB'er Maurilio (Class Cat); and I am totally impressed. It would seem all the buzz is for the UL's, but the PS's have more bass response, and plenty of sizzle. They may possibly be the quiet little giants...
I was planning on getting a second for a mini-stack. However, I plopped mine on top of an old Flite 15MH, and tonal heaven resulted. Now GAS has subsided, and I'm trying to figure out what to sell.

Funny you mention putting the 12 on top of a big ol' 15: I put mine on top of my 215. Yikes. Much fun in a small basement.
Either way, this cab is underrated. Enjoy.
This particular 12 sitting on a 15 is an amazing combination. Articulate, cutting, deep. I just don't hear anything missing, and it has all the bumps in the right places. Plus, there is a shimmer in the tone...hard to describe, but very musical.
BTW, the Flite is about 2 pounds lighter and a hair smaller, but covers all the low stuff the 12 doesn't quite get. With my old (and resucitated) WW Green Light sitting on top, I believe I am done with the portable tonal thing.

Congrats to you both!!! I have a PS112 that I've been digging on for a while. It handles the B well, the tweeter is sweet, and it covers most of my stage volume needs.
You guys are dead on that this a sleeper cab in the Epifani line. Its only 6 lbs more than the UL version, but has more bottom and that sweet top end.
Bet it sounds good on top of a 1x15!!!

Congrats guys on your PS112's, I sold my UL112's and got the PS's when I heard them at NAMM 06'. They have that bit more of the low end close to the T and NYC cabs and they fill out the low mid section. And yes they do sound great with a 115, I use one on top of my NYC115 sometimes.
Interesting about how Nick has changed the looks of the PS112 cabs. Here's a pic of mine when I was using a Focus 2.

Interesting about how Nick has changed the looks of the PS112 cabs. Here's a pic of mine when I was using a Focus 2.
What I did Jmain when I got my PS112's is I switched spkr's, put the UL's in the PS cabs (the guy knew what I was selling him) and kept the UL cabs with PS spkr's so that when used with my UL410 they'd match up next to each other.
I saw that, and they do match up well visually. Probably a couple pounds lighter too, although the PS112 cabs aren't much heavier than the UL112 cabs.
My next purchase will be a backup amp that will do 2 ohms, or I may go the pre (BBE) / pwr (QSC PLX 2402) route so I can run the PS112 and UL310 off separate channels if needed.
For this reason I got the UL902C to run any combo of my Epi cabs.
EDIT: Here's a photo of the UL410 and PS112's in UL cab. Didn't have the 902C at the time of the photo.

Yup, with my UL902C and man was it utopia. It wasn't about being loud, we had a gig with a large stage and I wanted to make shure I could move some air. FOH took care of the rest.
It full, thick and fat and sweet crisp highs. It was a really nice rounded voice.
The PS115 is a full rounding bass cab with a nice sweet high end. I would have gotten one of those had I not already had an NYC115.
I'll have to get a pic of all of it soon for ya. I prefer the 115 as a stand alone cab rather than just a 112.

I think the PS115 will be my next cab. I know the your 115 is an NYC, but I'm still taken that you like it better as a stand alond than the 112. That's very interesting indeed!

That's what I'm talking 'bout, Gary. I think it would be a great cab to add to the fray. I'd love to hear the PS115 with the PS112. Although I bet another PS112 would sound good too, when the time comes (sorry Bruce) I'll most likely be reaching for the 115.
I've seen a few PS cabs up for sale lately, but none that looked like mine - smaller radius grill and round tweeter like the UL series. Additionally, I see that the back plate of mine lists my PS112 cab as "T-112P" sorta like the "T-112UL" of the UL cabs. The ones I've seen are labeled "PS-###"
