Double Bass New Quartet Recordings - feedback?

Hey guys
I've just gotten back a track from a recent session I did with my new quartet and I'd love to hear what you guys think
It's at Link Removed and the tune is Blues For Reds
It's an original written/recorded especially for my application to the Banff Jazz Workshop this year
We did a couple other tunes too but this is the only one that we've started the mix on

Oops. I might have bumped your Thread out inadvertently with one of my rants during the "Wayne" fiasco, David. Sorry.

Is this one 5ths?
Either way I think you sound great. The tune is cool too. You're sounding very comfortable and in control. The bass sound is clean and natural in the mix. Even sounding all over the fingerboard.
I may be a bit unfocused in my listening, because I'm wondering about the 5ths thing too much. That's just a curiousity thing on my part and has little, if anything, to do with the musical result.
Anyway, good luck on the App, which IMO, you don't need because I would consider you a shoe-in.
Great playing, man.
Thanks.

Anyones else?

David,

I remember hearing something you put out maybe a year ago. The difference between now and then is pretty great. Your time and intonation have become so much better. Your note choices and bass lines have really improved. Your sound is so much better. Keep up the good work, it is paying off.

Just one thing to nit pick; in your solo section the time gets a little nebulous every so often. Even though you can either layback or push a phrase, make sure you never drift away from the actual time and feel of the song.

Really Great Job!
