new rig 1x15 2x15 2x12??

I am building a new rig starting from scratch. I just purchased a Genz Benz shuttlemax 9.2. I am looking to build a set up cabs that are sound good and can be configured differently in order for the size of the show or for practice etc. I have decided on either a 1x15 or a 2x15 cab and then maybe a 2x12 or possibly (2) 2x12 cabs. Im sure the amp would drive much more than a 1x15 and 2x12 cab anyhow. Styles of music range from country/pop/classic rock/new heavier rock. I play a gibson thunderbird 5 string pro and i'm in the process of building an alder active p bass maybe with a j style pickup on it as well. Any suggestions would be helpful. Venues range from small/large bars to the occasional big stage. Doing brown ostrich tolex with black/tan/gold mojotone with white piping. gonna mount that shuttlemax in a vintage style box too. Bass is candy red, silver perloid 72' p style, birds eye neck with, pau ferro fingerboard, right hand reverse black headstock. I think its going to all look pretty sweet.

Well, if you're like me, and don't have the skills to design your own cabs (not to be underestimated), I'd suggest that you start with the obvious choices of looking into the fEarful and Bill Fitzmaurice designs. Either come in 12 or 15 configurations which you can modularize, either can be built as an airhead with the shutlemax above, and either can be done up in brown ostrich tolex with black/tan/gold mojotone and white piping. You're not likely to do much better.

Did I mention that this was the obvious answer? Yes I did.

I just bought a GB 9.2 Shuttle and it pairs up nicely with my 30+ year old Peavey 215 cab that I recently loaded with Eminence Kappalite 3015's (non-LF) and lined with self-adhesive foam damping. 900watt head for a 900watt cab. Just right!

Thanks for the advise i prefer to do my own just not my style to buy something I can easily make. I am i carpenter by trade it shouldn't be an problem. Could do it overkill dovetail joints or something stupid like that. Mostly I'm cheap and its also the pride in doing it, but cheap too!
