I recently bought both a 5 string 21 fret MetroExpress JJ and liked it so much I also bought a 4.

Having no local place to try them, I took a chance on the 5 from Sweetwater due to the return policy. I'm super happy with both, they really play and have fit and finish far above the price of admission. Both are actually quite lightweight. As a bonus, these basses come with some of the nicest gig bags I've seen, much less included with a reasonably priced bass.

The M/J looks like a winner, too!

I ordered one and although mostly a jazz- and P-bass person I’m looking forward to explore the possibility of mixing in some Stingray midrange, especially on the low B-string.
I should get it by Wednesday or Thursday and will give a verdict as soon as I’ve played it for a couple of days.
Seems like a very affordable bang fir the buck instrument with all the great Sadowsky technical solutions and then some.

Wow, this model looks really tempting. I've never owned a bass with a MusicMan style pickup, and I've been getting some serious GAS recently as a result.

Wow, this model looks really tempting. I've never owned a bass with a MusicMan style pickup, and I've been getting some serious GAS recently as a result.

The bonus here is you can use both pickups in either parallel/series/single coil mode so in the best of worlds you’ll get both the more Fender J- bass oriented sound or using only the MM style in parallel for a more Stingray type of sound.
That’s what I’m hoping anyway.
