Double Bass New SB100?

Thanks for the feedback. Keep it coming.

Yes i chose $150 set of strings. He showed me some of the parts he was using and explained there were nice quality. He explained it as a "special set up". Again I'm new to this so I can't tell what is what.

For instance the bride had dials on it where the action could be adjusted as the seasons change

You're being taken for a ride. Some of the BEST luthiers and shops in the country are selling this bass for much less. Trust me, whoever is selling it doesn't have anything over someone like Nick Lloyd.

Thanks for the feedback. I called and got the details of the set up and the models of the parts going on (i looked up prices) and everything checks out. I chose the special set up. I could have chosen a $2000 set up too.

So you're saying you're buying one from him then? You're obviously entitled to your opinion, but as I've played on quite a few instruments with his "special set up" before, and I really haven't seen a difference at all (including my bass when I bought it.
This is the last ill bother you, but I strongly urge you to consider elsewhere. If not, I hope everything works out well for you, and that the equipment you get will give you a good place to improve and be musical.
Best wishes.

I mean look....if you interviewed the 3000 women I have been with...I bet 2 or 3 MIGHT say I am not the worlds greatest lover...where the other 2997 would have a different opinion....you know?

Well if you can find a "bride" with adjusters to change her action for the different seasons, I'd skip looking for a bass altogether!

Sorry I couldn't resist responding to a couple of these comments.
