New Solo Bass Tune

Hey dude, just been having a listen to your new demo and I'm really impressed!

It has a really positive calming energy to it, I bet its great fun to play!

Check out "John Butler" on youtube, he has an instrumental on there called ocean I think which has a similiar vibe to your piece....

Keep up the good work man!

I only used one track until the final 30 seconds where I used a second track that added a few harmonics and root changes. I'm going to rework the song too and phase that out to where it's one track in the final version. But as of right now I think it wraps it up fairly nice.

I'm not a fan of using multiple tracks anyway unless it's other instruments :ninja:

Unlike a lot of people, to hit multiple harmonics or regular notes I just do a really quick rake across the strings as opposed to the "one finger per string" technique. It just kind of became a habit for me and you really can't tell the difference.

For harmonics, I also found that you get a much clearer tone when you pluck closer to the bridge. There's a sweet spot around that area.

Is that what you mean?
