New spitfire PG...but which bass should it go on?

OK, all us TB'ers....... Do you see what happened here? OP asked for our opinions...... and we have a-plenty. I think he has enough response to where he can take this to his wife and justify buying a new/different P Bass to park that 'guard under.
You're welcome, OP........ All in a TB day's work.........................
This is an excellent point... I'll try it out!

Just picked up a spitfire pg which is gorgeous! Trying to figure out which of my current basses (if either) it works better for. My wife says neither haha but figured I should asked for some TBass opinions before I shelf this for another project.
So two options for this sweet Tort guard....sonic blue over sunburst or a real yellowy yellow....pics attached

I like the yellow-ish one better. Was wondering...How did you like dealing with Spitfire? I'm considering ordering one for my vintage Jazz bass (original guard is looooong gone). I know they're quite expensive, but is it worth it? I need a really 'relic'ed up' one.

Total honesty…I'm not a fan of tort. That being said, that Spitfire guard has a kind of fiery fierceness to it that kinda works for me…go fig! :confused:

Look at it this way…isn't it nice to know something that expensive appeals to you and is proof you've got good taste?
:laugh::thumbsup:

From what I've seen, most people who don't care for tort at all have only seen lousy looking examples. And unfortunately, there's a lot of lousy looking tort guards out there.
