New Squier/Fender Basses Announced (Old?)

Oh lawdy, GAS attack something shocking.

Squier Mustang is a definite goer for me, i've been wanting a short scale for a while now and have never had the cash for a Fender Mustang.

The Blacktop P and J look totally awesome. Keen to have a look at both of them too :D:D

Does the Squier Vintage Mod Mustang Bass means they're moving the Mustang Bass from Fender to Squier all together? They did so with the Jaguar Bass, which is now only available from Squier. Maybe Fender wants to concentrate only on the Precision and Jazz and get rid of the "surfers". In which case, I'm gald I picked up a Fender Mustang Bass earlier this year.

:hmm: The Blacktop Jazz Bass looks nice, sort of. I wonder how that bridge "splitter" will sound, I'm really curious about that.

:eyebrow: The Blacktop Precision Bass, I don't know... The two "buckers" in the neck&middle positions look kinda crammed in there. They could've put a third humbucker in the neck position and that would've made it the "Girthtop" Precision Bass.

The T-Bucket Bass looks nice too, but I don't know about marketability, I think the Kingman Bass is hotter. :D

HOO-AH!

I want that Mustang!!!

I wonder if Squier's gonna keep the Bronco model in production, now that they're bringin' Mustang on as well.

Also the Bronco has a 9.5" radius maple fretboard neck, I'm curious if they're gonna keep the Mustang 7.25" radius neck, or switch it to 9.5". The fretboard looks like will go from rosewood (at Fender) to maple (at Squier). The Bronco however, isn't a string-thru, while the Mustang is.
