Chris and I are still talking top woods.. I'd love to find some chestnut or light buckeye a-la Fodera.. It'll also have a matching headstock cap.

Updates as I get them.. ;)

I'm actually a little surprised-I figured your two Conklin 8's satisfied all your multi-string needs other than a fretless. What's the big draw for you with this one-the whole new pickup/electronics config or just fun to try a new brand?

I'm an addict, man!!! Addicts can't stop. No, if I ever get another fretless it'll probably be a fiver.. I just personally don't like the sound of the C & F string on fretless...

That's how he's paying for this bass-no more money up in smoke :D
Seriously, I've saved over $400 since May!! All the money I had been spending on cigarettes now goes into the G.A.S. fund!! :hyper:

That's neat that you are going with passive pups Mark, why did you decide that?.. I am very intrigued, since I dislike active electronics..

Wanting to experiment with something different.. I'm wanting a different sound than what I have and after some research, playing instruments and talking with many individuals I decided to go with a passive setup... If it doesn't turn out the way I like, I can always drop a pre in it at a later date... I'm really excited about the possibilities though.
