I have to admit that I am enamored of the precision sound, and although I truly do love the vintage passive tone of the standard I am conflicted by the tonal variety offered by the deluxe. I am considering buying one or the other and I just gotta ask, whatya think? It's $1200 for a Standard and $1400 for the Deluxe.
I also have an L2000 G&L, so I feel that a lot of the tone that the Deluxe can put out can be imitated pretty accurately by that beast of a bass. I'm wondering though, will the Deluxe be that much better? Or should I just stick with the classic sound of the Standard?
