Thought y'all might like to know about a new album I released today - it's under the name of 'Invalid Link Removed'. it's a collaboration with an amazing Scottish lo-fi singer/songwriter (his last full album, 'The Old Fox Of 45' is the album Radiohead wish they were about to release...
) and is a load of his sample-heavy acoustic guitar-led melancholic songs given the StevieTreatment - ambient mush, bass chords, and some gorgeous simples line on my Rick Turner Ren Fretless... You can hear samples from it at last.fm and then grab a download copy from Invalid Link Removed or from itunes.
it gets pretty weird in places, in a late-era Radiohead kinda way, and I'm really proud of it - hope y'all enjoy it!
Also, you'll see if you head over there but I've recently done a big redesign of my website and gone all Web 2.0, with RSS feeds for my blog and gigs on the front page, calendar feeds for ical/outlook/g-cal etc. so you can get auto-updates of gigs etc. I'm going to be blogging about web-tools for musicians a lot over the next few weeks, so if you're interested in finding out more about how I did all of that, have a look at the last couple of weeks of entries on Link Removed and subscribe to the feed to keep up with it.
