Love the tapes. Used them exclusively for about 8 years. I still keep them on two of my basses. Ddario etb92s are my fave.

New string surprise... Tapewounds

I recently got Tapewounds for the first time (D'Addario nylon XL) I guess if you like light & bright and clanky then they're not for you but I am very happy with them - punchy warm low and mids (not muddy/mufed as I thought they might be), no noise sliding along the strings, not clanky, feel good, look good, surprisingly they also play well with distortion/fuzz pedals and the treble can be cranked up to get some brightness if needed.
I have them on my Carvin 5 string fretless and acoustic fretless as well as my 96 Fender restless P Bass. I use Fender and D'Addario tapes. Their sound is delicious.
