[New] Subdecay Echobox Review!

Well to me most echos fall in between delay and reverb pedals. Reverbs are delays as well basically.

Echo pedals tend to be short delays with a limited number of repeats available and the delay is always quieter. They seem to be delay pedals with there balls cut off :crying:

This is just called the echobox I think he just thought it was a cool name that carries on from the noise box and the stupid box theme he has going and delaybox or repeatbox just doesn't sound as good.

gotcha....there seem to be dedicated delays and echos (a type of delay I assume). What is the difference then?

To add onto what Tayste said...

The way I understand "echo" is this: The repeats are never louder than the original signal, and are usually quieter (even the first repeat). Some people will also consider short delay times and quick fading of repeats to describe echo, but try telling me that after screaming into the Grand Canyon. :D

TBH, the line between that, and any other kind of delay (except reverb) is pretty blurry, so expect "delay" and "echo" to be used interchangeably (semantics aside :p). I guess the best way to describe echo is like a reverb with longer delay time - it adds ambience to the signal instead of being very pronounced.

Any delay pedal can be set to do that as long as it has a control to adjust the volume of the repeats below that of the original signal.

RESURRECTION! um I just got this on Monday and Its awesome. I just discovered the chorus sounds I can get with it by adjusting the depth of the modulation all the way up! Pretty sweet indeed. Never used a delay pedal extensively before until now so I'm finding out all the goodness.
