New Subdecay Pedal

I love the step phasing. Not as deep or controllable as the Prophecy Sound Infinitphase, but a definite upgrade on the Boss PH-3's mode. Personally I dig step phasing more than the step filter sounds of the Prometheus
The normal phase sounds are nice and chewy and I love that you can switch how many stages you want. It seems to do pseudo ring-mod sounds better than the Whetstone.
All in all, VERY impressive work by Subdecay. I saw an earlier comment wishing it had an envelope mode, but putting a filter upstream (Maxon AF9 into PH-350 gave me as wet an "envelope phaser" tone as the Pigtronix EP-1 or EHX Polyphase ever did) is an easy fix for that.
I'm done buying phasers but otherwise I'd jump on this one, if only for the hours of fun of finding all the different tones and cool noises I could make.

I was just think ing that as I listened to the clip, it seems so much more consistant when its not on an envelope and you're trying to get more subtle chords going.
I prefer the Proteus to the Promtheus for S&H but the Prometheus is the better filter however I am seriously debating whether I need the Proteus when this comes out, there is that lpf that is does so well though.
I sold Higgie my Baby Quasar because I knew this was coming, and a year or so ago I sold my Quasar as I thought this was coming sooner than this, but man worth the wait or what.

The Triangle/Square Wave Mix...that was just beautiful! This might be the coolest modulation pedal to come out in years!

to be honest the whetstone is about 1000 miles off our radar screen. I actually had to look it up after some recent comparisons. Granted it adds some extra controls beyond the norm, but under the hood it's a 4 stage OTA phaser.
The DLX is an 8 stage VCA based phaser. Each stage in a phaser adds a bunch of repetitive circuitry, but also adds more phase shift. Not to mention that things like tap tempo entail a lot more than simply adding a switch to a pedal.
I do not even know of a current production analog 8 stage phaser in pedal form. Most of the ones that are still made are rack mount and used in modular synth rigs.
We still have some things to work about before we announce a price. We have a target in mind, but I dont want to announce a price and then have to change it later.
Either way it is going to be at least a little bit more expensive than the whetstone.
If it works well with a filter in front of it, based on how it sounds in those clips, the price won't matter too much to me. It's almost "the" phaser for me, almost.
