New TC Elec. BH550 & 800

I'm trying to hold off buying this for at least a few months, but I really like this new offering. It seems they revamped these with user feedback. I've really liked the BH250, it is light and sounds very good and allowed me to get rid of a lot of pedals that I kept around but rarely used with the TonePrint feature. The only issue is that I'm not sure about the 250, hopefully these are closer to the power rating though I'm not sure it bothers me much as I'm just trying to blow the doors off the garage.

I also want to know the true power output. Having said that, the addition of a 2nd tone print slot and , more importantly for me, the separation of mid into high and low controls, makes it a very attractive feature set.

Yes, if these bench out at claimed power these should be very nice. The 800 definitely has my attention. I could not find the actual EQ points or suggested msr on the web site tho.

Looks like the BH800 are available across the pond, but I don't see anything for them here.
Am I wrong?
If my BP to $ calc is right, it will be around $900 here for the BH800.
I think I'd rather have a TecAmp Puma 900 - depends on the power & tone.

I've got a crisp $1 dollar bill that says these amps don't produce anywhere near these power ratings. I absolutely LOVE their effects pedals but they've got a pretty poor track record on power ratings.

Yeah man, the best thing to happen in amplification was the design of switchable voltage. My Aggie is coming from the US for just over 50% of Aussie retail (including shipping and currency conversions).

The TC gear is all international voltage as well.

I couldn't agree more my friend... My Aggie, GB shuttle and two DB112NT's came over that way.

The owners manuals are on the TC Electronic web site. The EQ section is interesting in that the "cut" frequencies are different than the "boost" frequencies.

Yeah, spotted the 800 and got excited. But then I remembered myself, and I won't be touching one of these with a 20ft barge pole until we find out the true power output!
