Hey everyone, I just got my first bass a few weeks ago and heard about this forum through my brother. I'm fairly new to the bass and I'm trying to teach myself (at least to get started). I travel all the time for work, so it is difficult to keep a scheduled lesson. I'm sure I'll be asking a lot of questions in the next few months so be gentle.

Welcome. Just do what http://www.studybass.com/ outlines. Start on page one - one step at a time. Print off sections (lessons) and take them with you.
