New to me, modded Squier Bronco

Hi, I picked up a lightly modded 2004 Squier Bronco today in Torino red.
The original pickup has been replaced with a Seymour Duncan hot rails.
It also has a 4 saddle bridge.
The pots are both a bit scratchy and I assume they are original.
I am thinking of fitting a black 3 ply pickguard and refinish the headstock in black so that it matches my vm ss Jaguar. ( My avatar )
I saw elsewhere that the pickguard shape or screw hole position may be different on certain years of the Bronco ?? Can anyone confirm that ?.
Also if I refinish the headstock I'll need to source a silver coloured Squier logo ideally, so that it shows up.
At band practice later this week I'll give it a proper try out in its current form.
So far I'm happy

Yes, this is true.

There are different pickup and control routings, as well. For example, my control cavity is back routed, and my pickup route is the size of a bathtub.

Just over a week ago I acquired this Squier Bronco.
I've since replaced the scratchy mini pots with full size CTS one.
Fitted a black pickguard and refinished the headstock in gloss black.
I got a Squier BRONCO BASS logo made up in silver too.
I was going for the same look as my SS jaguar.
I have a thumb rest to add but not 100% on the exact position yet.
Here it is

Mine is a 2004 bronco, the seller suggested that not all bronco scratchplates are exactly the same, which somebody here also confirmed, his are templated from a 2018 bronco, there was a very small difference with some of the mounting screws and the neck pocket opening I had to enlarge just the absolute tiniest bit, overall it's a great fit

Love the look of the headstock. I just put a Bronco neck on my Musicmaster body, now considering options on painting the headstock. This just motivates me more.
