Im a Canadian and I live in BC. I used to tour as a bassist many years ago, and at some point along the road I got a real job . I have been doing sound for bands for many years, and by many I mean 40 ish... Im 60 now. I really didnt play much bass or guitar for quite a few years because I didn't really connect with anyone locally here.
All that changed a couple of years ago and, as luck would have it, people found out I can cheat my way around a bass ok, and now Im a wanted man. Ive read numerous google searches from TalkBass and figured maybe I should troll here and see where it leads? As an older guy I appreciate playing more because I dont need to make a living doing music, I can do it now because I enjoy it. Over the years Ive been trying to keep up with technology, and the bands Im playing in are willing to adopt the new ways of doing things with a bit of convincing! half the guys are almost deaf already.
