Hi everyone, I've been lurking for some time and I wanted to thank the forum for all
the great information in here, I'm a newbie, I just play for fun, have a modest set up
I'm getting into effects and I was about to post my very first question in the effects forum but
I thought introducing myself here first was appropriated :)

Christ! I've been playing bass for 50 years and the only effect I ever remotely messed with was fuzz tone. My then amp, the Acoustic 360 has built in fuzz that, for me, wasn't practical because I wasn't a soloist. I was mainly orchestra pit or standing on stage wearing some goofy monkey suit playing R&B and Disco. But I know there's posters here waist deep in effects for bass and all the applications for them. Oh. I do know one can add effects via some DAW programs. Reaper has some of the best digital effects I've ever heard -- space enhancement, phase shifting, fuzz out the wazoo. Yeah. That in't me, babe. I drive stock....

Thank you for the reply, I'm actually looking for an effect that it saw in a video that was added in a DAW, I'm gonna ask around I'm sure someone will know :)

If you're interested, Reaper is a free download and is full featured ... for, like, 15 days. Then you must pony up $60 for licensing fee which, for me, has been worth it. Oh, and provided you got the proper computer with either Apple O/S or Winders 10 which is buggy with my ancient computer, a Gateway P-7805U FX. There's a slew of plug-in's that you can combine to get as far out as you wanna.
