New to these forums

Hello, I got into the Bass not too long ago.
The band I was in needed a bassist, and
since my friend who was the lead singer/vocals
had a bass, it was decided that I was the new bassist.

a couple months later the band is no more, but
I bought a cheap bass and bass amp while we
were still together. I like playing bass, It's more
of a challenge than I originally thought it would be
(my fingers reassure me on that), and I would
like to become better at playing bass.

My experience on the bass is literally
"You play guitar? Here, play bass now"
I had no idea what to do, it felt really
weird too. So basicaly I kept the rythm
and used my fingers to play instead of
a pick. And now I just kinda play my bass
here and there, but I'm still in the dark
on the whole subject.

I saw these forums on google about 10 minutes ago
when I was was looking for tips on slapping and tapping.
I hope to learn alot here, and look forward to posting!
