Double Bass New Toob/Quilter mini rig

Well, it sounds great at home! Doesn't everything? Powered with my old Acoustic Image Clarus it's a particularly nice tone with my upright. Sounds good with my electric basses too. It's loud enough to likely annoy my neighbours but I imagine the only gigs it might see will be piano, double bass duet type things or trios with a very well behaved drummer!
But I can see it being quite useful as a personal monitor if PA support is available. It could help a lot for hearing pitch with the upright bass. But it's not a real air mover. It's tone at the volume levels that it's designed for is surprisingly full range! The little 6.5 inch speaker lets out a lot of highs and upper mids and there certainly are lows present. But it's not a rock&roll amp, it's not even a Polytone Mini Brute! But it weighs next to nothing, I could take it and the Clarus head to work in a shopping bag or a backpack! That's the most attractive thing about it. If the right gig in the right venue comes up I'll give it the acid test!

Thanks for your input Mike. Did you used the three removable 3 mm steel wire legs for vertical position ?
Making it like an Acoustic image Upshot ?

This Toob only came with the legs that raise it off the floor a bit. That actually seems to work quite well. I am curious about the other leg format. At some point I may inquire to the manufacturer about providing me with it, or even try to fashion something similar myself. It's just bent wire, probably easy enough!
