Double Bass NEW Version of B-Band D1 vs. Full Circle

Has anyone tried the newest version of the B-Band D1 pickup?

It seems as though they've updated the system for better durability. I'd like to know how it compares to the Fishman Full Circle.

It looks interesting but perhaps IMHO a little complicated. Of Course, we'll never know until someone tries it out. I'm having very good results with the Ehrlund pickup and although it's not without it's own set quirks, the sound is excellent on my bass through my amp. Since it doesn't slip under the bridge, I could swear that my bass is producing more sound acoustically. The advantage with the Ehrlund is that it just sticks to the top of the instrument with putty, so it's easy to more and remove.

I have the older version of both B-Bands. They sound great, but can be a little fragile. The new design looks better, as the fragile part seems to have been removed.

I'm hoping someone will comment who has heard the new one and compared it to a Full Circle.

I owned both versions of the B-band. It sounded good. Full Circle doesn't need a battery, was cheaper, and seems more responsive to me. Just my 2 cents.

By both versions do you mean D1 and statement, or old and new D1? I have both a D1 and a Statement. I'm particularly interested in the newly redesigned D1.

I have a new D1 on the way, B-Band is replacing my old one. I will post a review.

Received and installed the new D1. Seems like much improvement from what I can tell right now. Sensors seem much more durable. Access to blend control is easier. Same warm, full, growly tone without the crackle! Check out the new B-Band upright bass pickup!

Guys, check out the new version of the B-Band D1. I'm going to compare it with my Fishman Full Circle. Both are nice. I have them on different basses right now. My hunch is the B-Band will be the winner, but close.
