Yes, it is. I have had my early Tel-Ray made Morley PWB for years. I have the wah/vol pedal toggle replaced with a true bypass.

To be honest, theInvalid Link Removed has my interest piqued. I like photo element based Wahs...they are so much more aggressive than their potentiometer based brethern.

Morley is the way.

I recommend the newer ones before checking the older models to make sure you like the sound, though that's a false statement as the modern and older units sound eons apart. My personal modern faves are the Dual Bass Wah and the Mark Tremonti, both are pretty nice for most styles of playing.

That being said though, my knees will always buckle at the insanely menacing sound of my PWB's huge, screaming sweep. Like a grizzly turning into a panther then back to a grizzly, all in a single sweep.....

That is the best description of the old Morley PWB's I have ever heard. I love the sound of the Morley power wahs. Even the new ones have a great scream, if you know how to use them. People just can't seem to get it. High gain distortion or fuzz into Morley Power wah= Burton-esque shrieks and demonic growls from the depths of Hell.

i searched the wah thread a few days ago ... and i was pretty convinced with a wilson wah.

i cant find anything used, so i ended up bidding and winning a Wilson Effect Tunable Colorful Clone Wah on ebay.

the seller told me it would sound good on bass on some settings ... so i'm giving it a shot

wish me luck.

my previous wah experience was a Bootzilla, and while i love the sound, that pedal doesn't seem that it would see another 3 heavy gigs. i sold it before it completely self destructed lol

I have both The Bass Dual Wah and a Dunlop. And to be honest, they both tend to get on your nerves, after a while. I tried both on the board but the damn thing just got stupid heavy. But, at times, both sound good. If I have to chose, I'd chose the Dunlop.
