Threaten the website. I am sure they will claim that they have no control over content, but enough of a threat will probably cause them to pull the offending posts and user.

eah, i dont know any lawyers, no. i dont know many adults really, so its kind of tough. i agree to the fact that i should not ignore it. this is really dissapointing honestly. I know somebody on talkbass is a lawyer, but i honestly cant remember who. Is it TomBowlus?
Strait up computer crime people can find this guy... I'm not sure how the laws work in Pittsburgh but in Canada impersonation is a crime and so is libel. Consulting a lawyer is definitely a good idea (up here a lawyer will give you a free consultation and I imagine lawyers do similar down there). I would also consider contacting the authorities.
