BTW, you may find that the pickups are pretty useful after installing the EMG tone control. I was kinda 'meh' on them until I gained tonal control.

EDIT: and once again I need to read your ENTIRE comment - you don't like the aesthetics of the pickups. My bad.

I dunno what would fit in there - you might be able to custom-order from somewhere (Bartolini?) but that could get expensive really quickly.

No, I was joking about replacing the casings, they only annoyed me because I had to get used to the shape of them!

Not a problem. It's the first link (Invalid Link Removed) you want in this case. You're right, the Sweetwater link does make it look a bit different because they included the two extra knobs you get with the package (to keep the look of the bass consistent).

Here's a quick video I made this morning (pre-coffee, forgive me) about how to put the EMG BTC into this bass:


Feel free to ask questions, I'm not a good teacher so I'm sure I missed stuff which would be pertinent.

On a side note, I remembered this weekend that I have an extra EMG BTC circuit (unused, in box) which I acquired in a trade deal - PM me in the next week or so if you'd like to acquire it from me. I'll post it in the classifieds if I don't hear from anyone by April 1.

I got one off a trade a couple months back, 4 string White, my band hates the look of it, but it sounds amazing. Roll back the tone you get that p sound, and everything full on a growly jazz. Sounds great through my Mesa Walkabout Combo. I would say a p type feeling neck. Super light. Great all around, I would buy another in black. First thing to go was the battery for the lights. They should have put them in the fretboard :)
