Hey all!
New player and member reporting in from Texas. Decided to pick up bass about a month and a half ago. Started with a cheap Donner PBass from Amazon that I threw from Chromes Flats on, and while I was enjoying it I hated looking at it.
About 2 weeks after starting I found a great deal on an Epiphone Thunderbird IV with official hard side case and a Hartke combo amp (140W 2x10 ported) and convinced the wife to let me pick it up!
The previous owner had painted the pickguard black, I wanted it back to stock but when I removed the paint the Tbird logo came off as well, so I wrapped it in a matte gold carbon vinyl: (I hope imgur links are allowed).
I've also got a Hipshot bridge on the way to replace the 3 point bridge that I think is a nightmare.
I've been learning with a combo of youtube, Fender Play, and Rocksmith.
Having a lot of fun and am excited to continue learning and getting better!
