Double Bass Newbie using two different basses

I'm curious, since I am new to the bow, would it hurt my development to practice on two different basses that have very different strings and reference points? I'm probably going to wind up with one bass at school and the other in the house I'm renting next year, but should I only practice the bow on one of them?

Two different strings wouldn't hurt at all.

Now two different refference points mite affect your intunation when you switch basses.

Question, what is the string length on your two basses? And, are they both D necks? Both Eb necks? Or, one of each. Just wondering how far apart those refference points are.
