I noticed no significant changes in flavor or consistency pre '92 or post '92. That doesn't stop me from selling the pre '92 pecans at a premium price. Vintage Pecans are hard to come by and should command ever higher prices as they age, whither and disintegrate altogether.

Same here; though in fairness, the Corellis I tried were on someone else's bass.

I'm always a little shocked at the big, robust tone that Weichs get on my bass after breaking in. I love them with a Mittel E for a little better match. They are a bit cello-like when played arco, not a bad thing at all. Very expressive.

Can you tell that I'm gradually winding my way back down the breadcrumb-strewn path, towards the Spiros at my original point of departure? ;)

Let me recalibrate my micrometers and then check actual vs. current/post '92 specs. Also unsure of allowable uncertainty. Please advise me.

Measuring the nuts at identical humidity levels (either size or mass) is key, here. Must remember to calibrate my hygrometer as well. This will all take much time. I will get back to you...more will be revealed...

Dear UncleToad and Everybody,
Thanks for your help, just put on a set of Spirocore Weich. Well, I have to say, this is a whole new World, and I like it! Spirocore has a more focused voice, which I really like. Of course the tension is much more comfortable. Great improvement from Helicore Pizzicato Medium!
(Bow action though, is the same sh.t, but I can live with it.)
Anyway, thanks for the great tip, I am very happy with it!
