Newly joined, at long last

Greetings, Thomas Bailey here. I'm an NYC/Paris, FR based multi-instrumentalist.
Back in the 80s & 90s I was primarily a bassist altho my first quasi-pro jobs were as a guitarist way back in junior high school days.
Circa 1990, I took a deep dive into acoustic bass method with Clarence Seay at VCU in Richmond, Va. Preemptively assuming that I'd be doing alot of couch-surfing when I moved to NYC in 2001 - I sold my trusty '52 Kay C-1, as I'd returned to playing mostly guitar and fiddle, & left it to the universe to decide if I'd be a bassist again.
I have been lurking here as a guest for years. Play often with fellow TB members Jason Sypher, Max Johnson, Jared Engel, Erik Alvar, Larry Cook, Dave Speranza.
In the past couple years, I've been making due with what's lent to me when I get the call for a bass job and have briefly owned one or three okayish Chinese laminates; but I've yet to happen into an instrument that I really click with like my old C-1.
Expect me to continue to lurk, yet now with an actual profile and not rust a random faceless digital visitor.
