NFL 2024-2025

Looks like a continuation of the Justin Fields era in Pittsburgh.

Although, with typical Mike Tomlin eloquence...

"We'll follow Russ throughout the week, and if his participation gets to a level in participation and quality where we should consider him, we'll delve into that at that time, and obviously when that happens is a component of the consideration," Tomlin said.
Tomlin more and more reminds me of Oswald Bates. :D
There's only so much of this one can blame on Chicago. Fields isn't the QB that will win you any games that matter. Just as soon as he comes up against a legit defense and has to actually make plays beyond the Pop Warner stuff being called for him now, we'll see what kind of QB he is. Tomlin is banking on that happening after he gets win #9.

3-0, wow. One really has to want to be mad to find something to cry about with a 3-0 team.
Maybe I was wrong about Fields. There is some truth to the idea that a QB needs to be in the right system with the right coach(es).
I am starting to think I was wrong about Porter Jr.
The rest of that defense though, wowsah.

I'll tell you who I REALLY enjoy watching: That young kid at Center, Zach Frazier. He's gonna be a great one! And Herbig stepped in when Highsmith got hurt and played really well.

I know Bosa went down, but that Charger defense was a top-10 rated unit. The Steelers could have put up 27, but for the kneel down to finish. Fields is making his case to continue starting. Yeah, the D is scary good right now.

Rookie offensive coordinator drafted a “clever scheme” to lead the Falcons to defeat. Next time.
Meantime, the guy y'all kicked to the curb is doing alright in Pittsburgh. A bit too conservative for my liking, but I can't argue with the results.
I will say that I was shocked to see the Steelers so aggressive trying to score before the half. I figured for sure Tomlin was going to roll Fields out there to take a knee on both drives, but nope. Woulda been cool to see Boswell nail that long one.
When the gal on the sidelines said there was no breeze, I knew there wasn't a chance Boswell could kick the ball through that thick and sticky Pittsburgh air on a humid day like it was. Yuck.

Packers really pulled off the incredible .. 2 wins with a backup QB signed week 1 of the regular season.
Malik Willis was the QB I wanted Pittsburgh to pick in that draft. Instead, we know what decision the Steelers made instead after being so badly fooled.
Even when he got traded to GB, I was holding out hope he'd somehow land in Pittsburgh.

I'm getting a kick out of the Steelers with Wilson getting splinters on the bench. They have zippedy-do-dah invested in him (the Broncos are paying for his mansion,) and with Fields playing well there's no chance he will see the field except for an injury. But he's being well paid, so he should concentrate on making Polyanna videos and starting more babies with his wife.

And the Broncos, Packers, Cougars and CSU Rams all won last weekend! This may not happen again!

Honestly, his shoe line is my favorite sneakers brand and have been for years. They're like really nice Vans if that makes sense.

It does, but at $228 a pair, I will stick with Vans.

Enjoy. I am an Auburn and Las Vegas Raiders fan. I am in football hell. What a catastrophic weekend it was.
