NFL Week #11

I don't like the Packers, but I wouldn't bet against them this weekend. Detroit at Arizona is going to be a good matchup and a good test for both teams. As a Seattle partisan, I'll be rooting for the Lions. Heck, I would be rooting for the Lions anyway, because they have been mediocre for most of my life and it's good to see the have-nots do well sometimes. Cleveland has a chance to pull away a little. I would like to see that, too.

Seattle at Kansas City? Seattle is getting healthier after a rash of injuries, but they had best get their passing game together. I don't think they will have 350 rushing yards against the Chiefs. They will pull it out somehow, since that's what they seem to do.

Dolphins gotta turn around and play Thursday after playing in Detroit Sunday, which kinda sucks, especially since it's against the surprisingly decent Bills (who they already lost to in Buffalo). If they can bounce back and take this game, they might be able to sneak into the playoffs. If not, I think they're headed to 8-8.

I'd say it's a tossup. Eagles' special teams could easily add another 10 points on top of the 31 you've spotted them. i've also seen GB do the same against Philly. It should be a chess match.

I'm definitely pleased with the result last night. Miami's D stepped up bigtime in the second half and the offense started clicking, too. They really needed this win since they're heading to (gulp) Denver next week.

TOTAL domination by Wisconsin sports teams this weekend.

#3 ranked Bucky basketball winning twice, once on Friday (I was there) and today, embarrassing Northern KY and Chatanooga.
#14 ranked Bucky Football humiliates Nebraska for the 2nd consecutive time and in the process, establishes itself as "running back U" with Melvin Gordon running wild for 408 yards and setting the FBS record for rushing yards in a single game.
Then, the Pack moves into 1st place in the NFC Norris by dominating the Eagles in all 3 phases of the game with 2 defensive TDs, and 1 special teams TD to go with A-Rod's 3 TDs and no picks.

Wow. We're living in a golden age of state athletics here in the tundra.
