NFL Week #17

This made me laugh.

...well, you are a Cowboys fan, this season, you may need to get your laughs and smiles wherever you can...the Eagles will probably give you a few...

;)

...seeing as the Eagles will at best be 1-1 after the 2nd week (and going into Carolina won't be a gimme - they're pretty likely to be 0-2 by the end of the second week!), they'd have to run the tables the rest of the season to end up 15-1, and beating the Giants twice may be a bit of an uphill climb.

:D

...besides, if there's any justice in the universe, they'll tie the Cowboys both times, precluding 15 wins.

:hmm:

Perhaps your disappointment might be better directed at national sports media and the general public that fuel the negative headlines. Remember that each team has 53 players. With 32 teams, that's quite a number of players. Those that keep their nose clean, those that are regular, upstanding citizens don't get reported. Those that are actually charity-working, positive forces in their community probably even outnumber the felons, and I would guess by quite a bit. Probe deeper, there's much to enjoy in sports.

I get what you're saying... really, I do. But 4 game suspension for taking a supplement that was fine last year vs a 3 game suspension for a felony conviction and a 2 game suspension for misdemeanor drug possession?? THAT I just DON'T get.

Well, at this point (no live ammo fired), tough to say, looking at last season and what I've seen in the preseason.

Definitely not Oakland or Denver this year...maybe KC can make a run at improving and giving them a bit of competition????

Indeed. From what I've seen KC is the only other team that will be close to competitive, and even at that I would be surprised if they are better than .500 this year.
