Sub’d to the NHL thread 
It’s been years since I really followed hockey, but for a good chunk of my life it was one of my favourite sports. I watched a few games last winter for the first time in a long time and legit enjoyed it. I think I’ll try to follow the league a bit more this season.

Opening Avs game tonight. I have high expectations.
My Cards sucked, my Sooners might win 2 or 3 more games at best, my Dolphins suck after having high expectations. I'm banking on the Avs at least until Sooner softball starts.

Here we go again...what an offensive juggernaut...truly offensive. Stupid Leafs.
To be fair, you can't really say "here we go again" when prior to last night they haven't been shut out in what, over two years?
Just based on the last 57 years or so, yes, you can really say here we go again...
Well, the Rangers showed who's ready to play and the Penguins showed...well, showed how far they need to come to be competitive. Losing the season opener at home, by a score of 6-0. Nothing was clicking...no O, no D, no PP, no goaltending. Long season ahead. 
Coincidentally, the Oilers allowed the Jets to whomp them at home, by the same score, too.

Yeah. Against my Avs. Please oh great hockey gods, football and baseball have miserably failed me this year. Not hockey too!
The Leafs are going to win the cup! Well, as long as their third and fourth lines keep scoring!

Well, not the best outcome for the opener, but the Sharkies grabbed a point and looked pretty good at times. Celebrini gets a goal and an assist in his rookie debut. That's awesome.So far the Stanley Cup Champion Florida Panthers aren't slumping.
