It is odd, but Spectors are more comfortable than the tight spacing would indicate. I think the big neck profile really helps.

Out of every Spector bass I've owned, I could never gel with them but a lot of people love them!!!

Anybody have a problem reaching to the third fret on the E string when standing? I get this horrible shoulder ache like if I'm reaching further than I would any other traditional bass

Nice collection! Euros are fantastic basses and though still pricy, much more reasonably priced than the US shop basses and really not that far behind, quality wise.

Here are mine, 2 Euro Limited Editions (and a U.S. Forte in the middle). Used to own a Rebop (Eurobolt) and loved it. Those bolt ons are every bit as high quality as the neck-thrus.

Oh and I don't play Metal, either.

Yeah, I just can't make the ergos work for me.... though I've tried. I have had a few Spectors in my life but I just can't make it work.

But wow, that Eurobolt really does sound great. Aguilar electronics too. Hmm.... I guess I'm surprised. I've been skeptical of Spectors with the OB preamp and and Agi DC's.

The EMG-X pickups sound great with the OBP-2 on my Forte. Very Spector-like sound, still.

The AGI HC PJ pickups also sound good with the OBP-2 on the Euro I own, a little less hi-fi, little bit more old school but with some good bite.

And the DiMarzio P with Tonepump on the 77 LE is P bass with extra balls.

I think it is 16.5mm, like most production Spectors. Spector is sort of like Music Man in that the fat neck profile makes the narrower spacing manageable for me at least.

I think that is right. Narrow spacing with a big, fat neck.
