Thanks for the link mmbongo, the prices look good too. I may buy a set of Low Riders for my Jaguar. Still like juststrings for the fact that at least some of their strings are rated for tension. I like higher tension strings.

Dunlops are round core, and they are smoother. You can look at them and see it.

I just checked the exposed core on a used G string with a micrometer. You seem to be right. It's just not as apparent as on other strings, I guess. It's more likely my eyes aren't what they used to be. The strings seem to roll under my fingers more like a round core.

Dunlops do have lower tension than many of their hex core brothers. I always found them to be balanced in tension. Not too tight but not too slinky.

Great strings for sure! One of the better nickel hex core strings out there, and they are identical to the 66's just without the silks so they are a good bit less!

Good call.

I used to be rather devoted to the Sunbeams, but when they got tougher for me to find, I used D'Addario XL's for a while and they seemed to deliver just fine. Maybe the Sunbeams have better longevity, but it's hard to say.

This will probably turn into a list of all the nickel strings out there, but I would like to put a vote in for Thomastik Jazz Rounds. They are super supple and lush. They are pretty spendy though.

I just bought an MTD Artist with these strings on it. I must say I am VERY impressed by the feel of these strings. They help me to play faster and cleaner than I ever thought possible. The gauges seem a little on the light side as well. This will certainly have me doing a lot of experimenting with string gauges/types. I never really would have thought that string selection could have such a dramatic affect on my playing not just my tone.
