Nickle bass string

D'Addario XL Nickel currently.

It all depends on what you like, tone, and tension wise. I have played Dunlop and, DR Sunbeams, and they are both great.
I've been liking these D'Addarios because the tension seems to be a bit tighter than Dunlops, and I want to call them more full sounding?
Out of the box more piano like sounding. It just seems they a bit less scooped than the others. Remember that all of this is subjective......

High tension: DR Lo-Riders
Low Tension: DR Sunbeams or Dunlops
Balanced (and for me, perfect) tension: Circle-K. The only nickels I use.

But everyone is going to vote for their favorite strings. You won't know what works for you until you try a bunch of different ones.

Google juststrings.com and check out their site. They carry most brands of (nickel) strings and many of them are rated for tension as well. In the end it's a matter of trial and error.

I prefer bassstringsonline.com here lately, much better prices and Jason is awesome :)

Plus, you can sort by string type. Here are all his nickel strings:
