Nikolai from the strokes

Anybody know what kind of strings that guys uses? He's got some pretty awesome tone. Also if anybody knows what kind of strings the guy from the Arctic monkeys is rocking that would be sweet too.

TI lists the whole Strokes band on their artists page.

Both Nikolai (of Strokes) and Nick O'Malley of Arctic Monkeys seem to use a number of varied basses so it would not surprise me that they utilize a variety of strings as well.

Can't really help but I was always sure he used flats especially for the early stuff (or has just never changed his strings). Either way the sound is mostly down to his gear (Jazz and SVT)

I remember reading that he uses Chromes.
