Mr. Petracchi is usual to make differences nowaday also today on their own part, but he don't transmit it to Schoot.
On you you there's the final part played by my friend Leonardo presicci: that's good one.

Now I try to explain. Rota and Petracchi wrote ar 4 hands the Divertimento Concertante. But also Rota death Petracchi used to change some part in the double bass score. The part that I played some years ago for <carish was quite correct but with some mistake in the piano.
Today there's a final part of Divertimento but my one might be a good a surely point of view.
Better find on the tube LEONARDO PRESICCI: it is the more correct, in piano or bow parts and fingerings.

I spent a long time trying to figure out how to get a copy of this piece, and eventually found out about Elkin Music, which is a great company that specializes in ordering hard-to-find editions. You may be able to find the Nuova Carisch edition elsewhere in the U.S., but if you don't have any luck, try Elkin. Too bad that Schott page doesn't seem to order to the U.S. (or maybe I missed it.)

It only comes in a solo tuning edition, though. I'd love to know if someone knows a source for an orchestral tuning piano part.

Yes, Carish is the better one. If I well remember there are only little mistakes in the piano part at the beginning. A good pianist is able to find them. For what regards the bass there are no mistakes but Mr Petracchi has changed a lot of things during the years. By the way it's possible to play it correctly.
I have the orchestra part but I'm sorry I can't share it with anyone. Probably it's on rental only.

I got a piano part in orchestral tuning from Douglas Mapp Music. You have to special request it since it is not in the catalog online but he can do it.
I am thinking of playing this with orchestra next fall. Anyone knows of any editions out there that has orchestral parts? I know it exists but don't know where.

I'd love to know that as well. I know that Joel Quarrington has performed it relatively recently, so perhaps you could email him. Or perhaps a bassist in Italy could help you track down the company that rents it (perhaps Vito knows?)

Hello, I recommend contacting Dr Milton Masciadri at UGA -a former student of his (a Dr Alex Ritter (unsure of the last name for sure)) wrote an entire doctoral dissertation on the piece -much of it was done based on interviews with Pettracci. Dr Masciadri should be able to get you in contact with this other doctor, as he has the entire history of the piece and every revision and every version written down in his paper. He gave an excellent presentation on it at the UGA Bass Symposium.
